My name is Matt Beighton and I am getting older. Not content with just moaning and sharing with the people I see every day I decided to start a blog, so that I could share with everyone else. It also serves as an aide memoire for future reference, as I am very very forgetful.

I am currently working as a web developer but as of Septemeber 2010 I will be training as a teacher on a GTP course. I am rather nervous. I do enjoy developing for the web though, so I will probably keep doing small projects for myself as and when I have the desire and the time.

Photography is also a passion of mine, check out the photography section on here, or visit my Flickr page. I currently use a Fuji S9600 but would really really like someone to treat me to a Canon 500D sometime soon.

In a bid to get me using my camera more, and to get my arse into gear with some of the ideas that I have for photos, I have foolishly decided to start a 365 day photo challenge. So far I am still at it, hopefully I will manage to last the year. Some of the photos are quite forced in order to keep it up, but I consider that a happy offset against some of the ones I am really pleased with, ones that I wouldn’t otherwise have made the time to take.
